Windmills - stamp block mint never hinged, Niger

The postal administration in Niger issued this block of stamps, which shows various windmills on the four stamps contained and on the edge of the block.
The windmills were used for grinding, sawing, pumping and pressing and were dependent on the wind. In addition, windmills were used to pump water out of the lakes and to keep artificially raised land dry.
