Product information "Reopening of the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam - stamp block mint never hinged, Burundi"
This block of stamps was issued by the postal administration in Burundi on the subject of "Reopening of the Rijksmuseum" in Amsterdam. It contains an F 7,500 stamp depicting a still life by Floris van Dyck. The edge of the block was illustrated with the painting "Winter Landscape" by Hendrick Averkamp and an exterior view of the museum.

The museum was founded in 1800 in The Hague.
In the spring of 2013, the renovation and complete redesign of the museum was completed after ten years. The reopening by Queen Beatrix, her last major public appearance before her abdication, took place on April 13, 2013.
