Portraits of the Madonna - 6 stamps used, catalog no. 1345-1350, Ecuador

On May 25, 1967, these six stamps on the subject of "Madonna portraits" were issued in Ecuador. The 0.10 S stamp shows the enthroned Madonna by Guido Reni, the 0.40 S stamp shows the Madonna by Jan Sanders van Hemessen. The Madonna with Child and Apple by Hans Memling is shown on the 0.50 S stamp. The painting by Albrecht Dürer, Madonna with the child holding a pear slice can be seen on the stamp at a face value of 1.30 S. The 2.50 S and 3 S stamps are illustrated with the Sistine Madonna by Raphael and the Madonna with the Standing Child by Bartolome Esteban Murillo. Catalog no. 1345-1350
