Insects - stamp pad mint, Canada

The Canadian postal administration presents us with a particularly beautiful and unusual collector's item with this insect block. While the stamps show three different types of insects, we find symbols on the edge of the block in connection with a text in English and French. The symbols interpret a certain trait of one of these insects and, interestingly, are also hidden in the stamp motif.
