This mint stamp block from Grenada contains three stamps valued at $ 3.75 each. The stamps show paintings by Fra Angelico. An angel and another person can be seen on the edge of the block.

The artist was born as Guido di Pietro in Tuscany. His first testimony of the Dominican Order comes from 1423. Initially he got a job as an illuminator and probably worked with his brother Benedetto. His first works were probably an altarpiece and a painted rood screen for the Carthusian Church in Florence, both of which are no longer preserved.
