This postage stamp from German East Africa is an imperforate variety. The stamp has a face value of 45 hellers and is medium brown purple / black. In the certificate belonging to the stamp, the responsible association auditor (R. F. Steuer) writes that it is a "... perfectly qualitatively perfect and extremely rare template ...".
This small inconspicuous stamp with a picture of SMS Hohenzollern comes from an imperforated original sheet of 100 with the house order number "H 2031.10", which was publicly auctioned from the archive of the Bundesdruckerei (former Reichsdruckerei in Berlin) in 1997.
