The three stamps have face values and motifs that are represented as books and have the respective title of: $ 1.00 "The Mutiny on the Bounty", $ 2.10 "Men Against the Sea", $ 3.00 "Pitcairn´ s Iceland ".
Nordhoff and Hall were both authors. When they met for the first time after the end of the First World War and after their first lieter collaboration with the work "Das Lafayette Flieger-Corps", published in 1920, a long and successful writing career began. In the 1930s, both published the "Bounty-Triologie", which is now illustrated on the present postage stamps.
