Product information "Brüninger Taler - The 4 Pfennig coin, set with 6 coins, all mints from 1932, Jaeger 315"
At the end of 1931, Chancellor Brüning issued emergency ordinances intended to reduce deflation in Germany. A remarkable but also bizarre measure was the introduction of a 4 pfenning coin. This new coin should stimulate the population to thrift. The basic idea behind it was: instead of 5 pfennigs you should only buy for 4 pfennigs. The population mocked the unloved coin as the "Brüninger Taler" and one year after its introduction the coin was suspended again.
The coins show the face value on the obverse and the eagle on the reverse. This set contains all six coins from all mints.
