Apollo 11 / Neil Armstrong, Apollo 8 - small sheet block of stamps unmounted, Mali

The miniature sheet of stamps contains three stamps at CHF 320 each. The special stamp with the portrait of Neil Armstrong at the top right. In the background the lunar module, in front of it Neil Armstrong, who is the first person to set up the US flag on the moon. And thus takes possession of the satellite for the USA.

On the other stamp we find a portrait of the American astronaut Frank Borman , captain of the Apollo 8 mission . As well as the Soviet lunar vehicle "Lunochod 2" and the American lunar probe "Surveyor 3" .

On the edge of the block on the right the mighty, more than 110 meter high Saturn V rocket , the moon rocket initiated by Wernher von Braun, shortly after the start on "the way to the moon" .
