This beautiful memorial block was published in Paraguay for the 90th birthday of Professor Hermann Oberth.
The 25 g stamp included shows a portrait of Hermann Oberth, the father of space travel (born on June 25, 1894 in Sibiu). On the edge of the block we find a reference to the 23rd Space Congress. of the Hermann Oberth Society 'space travel yesterday - today - tomorrow', which took place from June 21 to 25, 1984 in Salzburg and the emblem of the company

Hermann Julius Oberth (born June 25, 1894 in Hermannstadt, Siebenb & uuml; rgen, Austria- Hungary; & dagger; December 28, 1989 in Nuremberg) was a Transylvania physicist and rocket pioneer.
He is considered to be one of the founders of scientific rocket technology and astronautics as well as a prophetic initiator of space travel and space medicine. The Oberth effect is named after Oberth.
