The 10 euro silver coin from 2007 was minted in brilliant uncirculated luster on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Treaty of Rome. It has a diameter of 32.5 mm and a weight of 18 grams. The 10 euro silver coin is made of 925/000 silver.

The Romanian contracts were signed in Rome on March 25, 1957 by Belgium, the Federal Republic of Germany, France, Italy, Luxembourg and the Netherlands. The treaties came into force on January 1, 1958:

  • the EEC Treaty, with which the European Economic Community was established,
  • the EURATOM Treaty, with which the European Atomic Energy Community was founded and
  • The Agreement on Common Bodies for the European Communities, which stipulates that the EEC, EURATOM and ECSC have a common parliamentary assembly, a common Court of Justice and a common Economic and Social Committee.

The aforementioned communities together with the European Coal and Steel Community formed the European Communities .
