The two stamps were issued on July 25, 1978 for the 25th anniversary of Queen Elizabeth II's coronation. The stamps have a face value of CHF 30 and CHF 50 and bear the black imprint of the British royal crown.

Both values bear the black imprint of the new country name & ldquo; R & eacute; publique F & eacute; d & eacute; rale Islamique des Comores & ldquo ;. The old country name has been scaled out three times.

The stamps also bear the imprint of the Queen's British insignia & ldquo; E II R & ldquo; and above it a simplified representation of the St. Edwards crown. The addition on the attached decorative field with a representation of the royal scepter is particularly interesting.
