250th birthday of Ludwig van Beethoven - block mint never hinged, Guernsey

"All people become brothers": Ludwig von Beethoven wanted to reach everyone with his music and composed such well-known pieces as the moonlight sonata or the 9th symphony. Beethoven is one of the most famous and most played composers of all time.

On the occasion of Ludwig van Beethoven's 250th birthday, Guernsey issued this wonderful block of stamps. The four stamps included, each with 1 £  are illustrated in different ways and show the statues of Ludwig van Beethoven as well as a portrait of the unique composer.
