200th Anniversary of the Battle of Trafalgar - stamp block unmounted, St. Vincent

On the occasion of the 200th anniversary of the Battle of Trafalgar, this block of stamps was issued by the postal administration in St. Vincent. Combat ships are depicted on the $ 5 postage and on the edge of the block.

The sea battle between the British, French and Spanish at Cape Trafalgar took place on October 21, 1805. With it began British supremacy at sea, which lasted more than a century. It contributed indirectly to Napoleon's defeat.
