These five unperforated stamps were issued in Niger for the 1980 Winter Olympics in Lake Placid. The stamps show the sports of four-man bobsleigh, giant slalom, speed skating, two-man bobsleigh and figure skating. The stamps also bear the imprint of the gold medal winners. Catalog no. 700-703

The XIII. The 1980 Winter Olympics were held in Lake Placid, USA. In front of a home crowd, the USA ice hockey team unexpectedly won a gold medal.
