These four imperforate stamps were issued in Niger for the 1980 Summer Olympics in Moscow. The stamps show the sports of javelin throwing, walking, jumping and running. The stamps also have gold medal winners printed in gold. Catalog no. 714-717
The Summer Olympics 1980 took place in Moscow between July 19 and August 3, 1980.
The teams of the USSR and the GDR dominated a large part of the competitions and won more than half of all medals awarded. The most successful athlete was the Soviet gymnast Alexander Ditjatin.
