The small sheet of postage stamps from Paraguay was published for the anniversary "150 Years of the German Railways". It contains five stamps with a face value of 10 G and four decorative fields. These show different electric locomotives. The sheetlet is catalog number 4026.
The stamps show the first electric locomotive in the world five times. It was shown for the first time in 1879 at a Siemens industrial exhibition in Berlin. The electric locomotive is now one of the treasures of the Deutsches Museum in Munich. The locomotive achieved 2.2 kW of power, which is equivalent to about 3 horsepower.
